Word of Life Bible-Presbyterian Church
Sister Choy Leng graduated from Far Eastern Bible College in 2017 and returned to her hometown Ipoh where she set up the Word of Life Bible-Presbyterian Church. In the early years, there were disagreements with fellow believers over bible interpretation. But with prayer and encouragement, they began to have a better understanding of the Bible after attending FEBC online courses. This led them to worship with sister Choy Leng in the Word of Life BPC on Sundays. Currently, there are eight regular worshippers who participate in worship services broadcast from Gethsemane BPC in Singapore.
Sister Choy Leng also conducts Bible study for a small group of Cantonese speakers, and visits an old folks’ home every week for Bible study with about 20 residents. Choy Leng struggles with negative reactions during evangelism and health problems, which sometimes leave her feeling helpless. Nonetheless, she remains resolute to serve the Lord in Ipoh where she is convinced it is God’s will. Choy Leng relies on God’s guidance and finds strength in the Lord and His Word. She continues her mission with faith, determination and patience.
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” (Psalm 126:5–6)
The Men’s Fellowship of True Life BPC supports Choy Leng and her ministry. They organise Vacation Bible School programmes for the children during school breaks, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with both the children and their parents.
