HOW JESUS TAKETH PUNY MEN IN THEIR OWN CRAFTINESS
XXIV. “He that is not with me is against me” (Matt. 12:36)
(Why I say Westcott and Hort taking out of the Bible the passage of the Woman taken in the Act of Adultery (Jn 7:53-8:11) is accursed)
When I was a student in Faith Seminary 1948 we were taught to accept everything Westcott and Hort had taught. When Dr D. A. Waite, ThD, PhD was in Dallas Seminary, 1948, he also was taught to receive everything that Westcott and Hort had given. But truth will out! God raised up a theological student, Edward F Hills (1912-81), a classmate of Dr Carl Mclntire at Westminster Seminary, to research into Westcott and Hort. Edward F Hills, BTh, ThM, and ThD (Harvard Divinity School), having studied for over 15 years, raised the alarm, “Death in the pot.” The teachings of Westcott and Hort are poison to our souls!
With this alarm raised, other eminent theologians who are on the Lord’s side has joined his ranks, one by one, namely Dr Otis Fuller, Dr D. A. Waite, David W Cloud, G A Riplinger (author of New Age Bible Versions), Dr S H Tow and now the whole faculty of Far Eastern Bible College, not forgetting the venerable Trinitarian Bible Society of Great Britain and Pensacola Christian College and Seminary.
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” (Ps 24:3, 4).
Hitherto, we have been hoodwinked by a conspiracy of silence on the evil character of Westcott and Hort, these two angels of light in textual criticism, until the recent exposure of their true colours. The records of the sons of Westcott and Hort, above all others, testify to their shame.
Westcott was founder of the Hermes Club in Cambridge, a Club that was reputed to be a homosexual club. Three years later, together with Hort and others, he branched into the Ghost Club, which scoffers called the Bogey Club. Bogey means devil. They delved into necromancy, which is communicating with the dead. This is an abomination to the Lord (Deut 18:11). Both Westcott and Hort were secret worshippers of Mary. They were friends of Darwin, Freud (called a Fraud in The Straits Times) and of Carl Jung, all enemies of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. They denied the infallibility and inerrancy of Scripture, the Virgin Birth of Christ, His blood atonement and resurrection. The Creation and Temptation that led to the Fall they derisively declared to be myths.
With impure hearts of rebellion against God and unclean, unconverted hands, how dared they touch the sacred Text of Holy Scripture? The ten thousands of alterations and deletions they had made on the basis of Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus versus the thousands of the Majority Text resulted in the scissoring of the equivalent of I and II Peter. In so doing, they had cut themselves from the Lord who bought them (II Pet 2:1). Those who follow Westcott and Hort in taking away Scripture beware, “God shall take away his part out of the book of life…” (Rev 22:19). What more can we say of the hundred “perversions” that are based on Westcott and Hort? They are already corrupted at source.
As to judging between KJB and the one hundred “perversions,” the unanimous testimony of believers throughout Church history, by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, suffices. Says the Apostle John, “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things… But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him” (I Jn 2:20, 27).
“Surely Goodness andMercy Shall Follow Me ..” (Ps. 23:6)
Having put my trust in the Lord since my Sunday School days, I have experienced the Lord’s goodness and mercy towards me many a time, not least during my recent illness that saw me warded at SGH for a full three weeks!
I started running a temperature on 25th October, 2003. It did not respond to the usual fever treatment and so I was referred to the A & E at the SGH. There the initial treatment prescribed by the doctor did not bring down the fever either!
And so on 3rd November, 2003 I was admitted to Ward 48 of the SGH for more intensive investigations and treatment. Chills followed by fever occurred every day for the first two weeks, including two fainting fits! During this time various tests and investigations were carried out, including blood, urine, X-Rays, CAT scan and others but without any success! At the end of all these, the doctors’ diagnosis of my case was “sepsis of unknown origin”.
But treatment continued! I was given various injections and put on Antibiotic and other drips, including one pint of blood for my anaemia. The numerous painful pricks to insert the needles with plugs every three days was so traumatizing, I could only cry out to my Saviour to save me from the ‘torment’!
Of the various antibiotics tried out on me, the last intravenous antibiotic given at the beginning of the third week eventually brought the fever down for good! But that did not mean I could be discharged – I had to undergo a 7-day course of the i/v antibiotic to ensure that there is no relapse. At last, I was discharged as ‘cured’ on 24th November, 2003 much to my relief as well as that of my loved ones!
At this juncture, I would like to add a few words of praise and thanks for God’s infinite mercy and grace: I thank God for saving me from a ‘mysterious fever’, and for the kind and concerned doctors and nurses who looked after me. I thank God for putting me together with two other ladies who are believers, who upheld one another in Christian fellowship and comforting one another in the Lord! I wish also to thank many New Lifers and brethren of other B.P. Churches who have been praying for me! And I am especially grateful to Pastor Patrick Tan who came twice to visit and pray for me in the Ward.
Up till today, the fever has not recurred, and I am recuperating well. All praise and thanks to God who has been merciful and good to me, and to all those who fully trust in Him! Amen.

THE STRENGTH OF WATER

There is nothing in the world that is softer and weaker than water. But water possesses the ability to penetrate hard objects. Everyone in the world knows that weakness overcomes strength and gentleness overcomes toughness but nobody practices this.
“He who takes upon himself the humiliation of the people is fit to rule them. He who takes upon himself the country’s disasters deserves to be their monarch.”
Thirdly, water flows into lowly places which people disdain. Just as water is located in a lowly place, a virtuous person willingly adopts a humble attitude.
Just like the deep and clear water, a virtuous person remains silent and solitary.
Just as water nourishes all things impartially, a virtuous person expects no reciprocation for a deed well done.
Whatever a virtuous person utters or does, it is always honest and true, like the true reflection of an object in the water.
Because of its weak nature, water can take any shape, depending on what receptacle it is put in. If a person can adopt this characteristic of water, he can benefit all things and see spontaneous results, thereby coming close to God.
Though water is gentle and weak, it can destroy hard objects and overcome strong obstacles. Gentleness and weakness contain hard and indestructible characteristics to overcome toughness and strength.
